ANNA KLINKHAMMER GALERIE zeigt die dritte Folge des locker seriell angedachten Ausstellungsformats VITAMIN - 8. Nov 2019 bis 11. Jan 2020 -
bei dem jeweils drei Positionen im Kontext des Galerieprogramms neu vorgestellt werden - inszeniert als Trio, durchaus im Sinne einer kleinen Kammermusikbesetzung !

Guy Allott, geb. 1972 in Hexham, UK, studierte 1996 -1999 an der
Central Saint Martins School of Art & Design MA - Print & Photomedia und
2000 - 2002 am Royal College of Art MA - Print.
Er lebt und arbeitet in London und Athen.
"... und ich zog mich von dem Fenster zurück, unfähig, diese Gefühle zu auszuhalten." Es ist nicht sicher, ob Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley möchte, dass die Familie DeLacey als Ideal oder bereits als Misserfolg des Familienkonzepts angesehen wird, aber wenn sie aus der Ich-Perspektive erzählt, gibt sie der Kreatur die Stimme, die diese Worte spricht. Guy Allott taucht tief in Shelleys Gothic-Novel von 1818 ein und benutzt das Loch in der Wand, das "Fenster" der Hütte, die schöne Chalet-Fassade, als Leinwand, um seine eigene Erzählung der Frankenstein-Geschichte abzubilden. In einem Akt des schlechten Malens wird die Kreatur zum Schöpfer und dabei verschmelzt der Künstler die verschiedenen Ebenen und Perspektiven von Erzähler, Figur, Künstler, Betrachter, Phantom und Begierde zu einem großen Spiel.

Fabian Blobel, geb. 1984 in Wuppertal, studierte von 2007-2013
Freie Kunst an der Kunstakademie Düsseldorf
in der Klasse von Siegfried Anzinger.
Er lebt und arbeitet in Leipzig.
Die lose Reihe von Stillleben entsteht in den letzten 2 Jahren.
Diese Bilder sind stark von den Erfahrungen aus der abstrakten Malerei beeinflusst. Es ist schön, eine Zeit lang offen zu halten, ob das Bild aus der Abstraktion heraus findet. Wenn ein Objekt, wie eine Vase, in einen Bild Raum gesetzt wird, entstehen Gesetze, an die sich gehalten werden kann, eine Temperatur, eine Erde, ein Himmel.
Die verschiedenen Objekte sind Tischdekoration, Portraits eines Familientreffens, Schmuck und Kitsch, Andenken, Talismane oder Schreine. Es ist vielleicht ein Versuch, Gegenstände zu portraitieren, sie in Stimmung zu versetzen und ihnen einen Ausdruck zu verleihen (...)

Ronald Versloot, geb. 1964 in Apeldoorn, NL, studierte 1982 - 1987 in der Koninklijke Academie voor Kunst en Vormgeving, Den Bosch /NL und 1987 - 1990 in der Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, Amsterdam / NL.
Er lebt und arbeitet in Amsterdam und Berlin.
Versloot erforscht seit langem die Möglichkeiten, Malerei mit der grafischen Technik des Linolschnittes zu mischen. Die Linolfiguren sind sozusagen Schauspieler, die in einer gemalten Kulisse auftreten. Damit spricht er das uralte Figur-Grund-Problem in der Malerei an: wie verhält sich die (menschliche) Figur zum Hintergrund und wie bringt man die beiden zu einer Einheit zusammen (...) In den Bildern wummert eine surreale Spannung, die von einem unmittelbar bevorstehenden oder vergangenen dramatischen Ereignis kündet.

ANNA KLINKHAMMER GALERIE presents the third episode of the informally planned exhibition format VITAMIN - Nov, 8. 2019 to Jan, 11. 2020 - in which three different positions will be presented in the context of the gallery program - staged as a trio, in the sense of a small chamber music ensemble!

Guy Allott, b. 1972 in Hexham, UK, studied at the Central Saint Martins School of Art & Design MA from 1996-1999 - Print & Photomedia and 2000 - 2002 at the Royal College of Art MA - Print. He lives and works in London and Athens.

It is not sure if Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley wants the DeLacey family to be seen as an idealor already as the failure of the family concept, but in using the first-person narratorshe gives voice to the creature who is speaking the above words. Stepping deep in Shelley's Gothic novelof 1818, Guy Allott is using the hole in the wall, the cottage "window" , the lovely chalet fassade, as a screen for lifting off his own narrative of the Frankenstein story. In an act of bad painting, the creature is identified as a creator and in doing so, the artist fuses the different levels and perspectives of narrator, figure, artist, viewer, phantesy and desire, into one big game.

The loose series of still lifes emerges in the last 2 years. These paintings are strongly influenced by the experiences of abstract painting. It's nice to keep open for a while as to whether the picture finds its way out of abstraction. When an object, such as a vase, is placed in a picture space, laws can be created that can be held, a temperature, an earth, a sky. The various objects are table decorations, portraits of a family reunion, jewelery and kitsch, souvenirs, talismans or shrines. It may be an attempt to portray, empathize, and express objects (...)

Versloot has long explored the possibilities of mixing painting with the graphic technique of linocut. The Linolfigures are, so to speak, actors who appear in a painted landscape. He addresses the age-old figure-ground problem in painting: how does the (human) figure relate to the background, and how do they bring the two together into a single entity? (...) A surreal tension hovers in the images, announcing an imminent or past dramatic event.
